TUNE FEATURES:

EXHAUST CRACKLE

  • Enabling the Exhaust Crackle feature will add a motorsport-inspired crackle sound to your exhaust note when you free-rev the engine or decelerate. This feature can be flashed on or off at will with your IE POWERlink. For the most aggressive pops and bangs an aftermarket catback system is recommended.

BRAKE BOOST

  • Commonly used in roll racing, Brake Boosting allows you to build extra boost by applying brake pressure while accelerating. Release the brake pressure for a "rolling launch" or extra surge of power. Brake Boost is included on all tune stages.

INCREASED RPM

  • To take advantage of the new larger power band, factory rev limits have been raised to 7000RPM in all stages. On DSG equipped cars, the transmission will shift slightly before the new engine RPM (6900RPM). DSG Tune is required to unlock higher RPM.

HIGH/LOW TORQUE FILES

IE High Torque ECU calibrations maximize power gains throughout the entire powerband which quickly exceeds the torque limitations of the factory DSG calibration (auto trans) or the stock clutch (manual trans) that leads to clutch slipping. Stage 1 and Stage 2 files include optional Low Torque files for vehicles with stock DSG tune or stock clutch. Both high and low torque files are included and can be switched between as often as you like. High Torque files require the additional purchase of a DSG transmission tune to reliably take advantage of the intense power.


ETHANOL FILES

Ethanol fuel unlocks the most performance potential from our ECU tunes for your VW Golf R, Audi S3, or TTS 2.0T TSI engine. Ethanol contains tons of oxygen, burns cooler, and has a high resistance to knock. This provides more horsepower and torque than running conventional gasoline and is more readily available (in most states) and less expensive than race gas. E30 is an optional fuel map included with all tune purchases.

E30 BLEND

The 2.0T TSI EA888.3 factory direct injection fuel system supports the power from a maximum blend of ethanol to E30. This E30 blend is a mix of at least E70 with regular pump 91/93 fuel of 2:1. To run this fuel safely, the blend must be verified using a testing kit or aftermarket fuel sensor. You can read our blog article on how to safely blend ethanol HERE.

REQUIRES HPFP

Although E30 blend tune is perfectly safe to run on the factory engine, IE does require an HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) upgrade. Upgrading the HPFP ensures there will be enough fuel to run reliably at all elevations and climate conditions. This also provides an extra safe guard against lower than advertised ethanol content at the pump.

 

RELIABILITY TESTING

IE's fully proven software brings track-ready ECU programming to your IS38 turbocharged 2.0T engine while retaining factory comfort and reliability. IE's own tuning technology suite is used to completely reverse-engineer the factory ECU mapping, allowing our software engineers access to realign all safety protocols and sensors for the new performance calibration. Every tune parameter undergoes months of testing on our in-house dyno systems that utilize the world's only Sea Level Generator developed specifically to verify tune operations in any condition. HOW DO I INSTALL THE TUNE?

IE's own in-house developed POWERlink cable and software gives you the freedom to quickly flash your car’s engine control unit (ECU) or transmission control unit (TCU) with your new IE performance tune. The cable simply plugs into your vehicle’s OBD-2 port, from there simply follow the on-screen directions to quickly upload the tune. Adding horsepower is as easy as clicking FLASH NOW!

The flash tool also grants instant access to upgrade tune stages, switch fuel octanes, flash back to stock, perform engine diagnostics, read/clear codes and gather high-quality operating data via logging.

  • System requirements: Laptop or tablet with Wifi connection and USB port running Windows 7 or above operating system required. Powered by 32 or 64 bit processor with 1.0GHz or greater and 4GB of Ram.

REST OF WORLD (ROW) SUPPORT

  • IE tunes are designed and written on North American (NA) vehicles. Although IE does offer ROW purchases of software files, some ECUs available only in certain countries or markets may not be supported in our current file library. If you have access to read your ECU code, please contact us to verify compatibility before purchase.
  • Once a tune purchase is applied to your vehicle's ECU, the tune is permanently registered to the vehicle and non-transferable to other vehicles. Tune can be transferred to a second party in the event of vehicle transfer of ownership only. Try IE software for 45 days from shipment date, if for any reason you are unsatisfied the tune may be removed and refunded risk-free.
